Melissa Gomez, DNP, APN, FNP-C

Melissa Gomez, DNP, APN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who was proudly selected for the highly competitive Dermatology Fellowship Program at Princeton Dermatology Associates.

Melissa earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Holy Family University, graduating with summa cum laude honors. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from William Paterson University.

Her career began in the fast-paced setting of an emergency trauma department, where she honed her skills in rapid assessment and critical decision-making. She served throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that strengthened her resilience, adaptability, and commitment to patient advocacy. While completing her graduate studies, Melissa transitioned into surgical services, caring for patients in the post-operative phase across various specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, cardiopulmonary, and neurology.

Driven by her passion for blending artistry with clinical expertise, Melissa pursued advanced training in aesthetic medicine, gaining experience in laser treatments, cosmetic injectables, and personalized skincare regimens. Committed to lifelong learning, she remains dedicated to staying current with evidence-based treatments to ensure the highest standard of care for all her patients.

Melissa looks forward to refining her procedural skills and deepening her knowledge in both cosmetic and medical dermatology. For her, dermatology is not merely a career path, but a lifelong passion—one that inspires her, fuels her curiosity, and empowers her to help patients feel confident in their own skin.

She is honored to be part of Princeton Dermatology Associates, a practice well known for its outstanding team of providers and its 40 year-long commitment to excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care. Outside of her professional life, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, traveling, interior design, and weight training.
