David A. Wrone, M.D.

Dr. David A. Wrone is a board certified Dermatologist and Micrographic Mohs Surgeon. He has been with Princeton Dermatology Associates since 2005. He is on staff at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.

Dr. Wrone graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Distinction from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He earned his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine with the Dean’s Award in Clinical Medicine. He trained in dermatology at Harvard University, where he completed his residency in Dermatology and also completed an additional one-year fellowship in skin cancer. He finished his skin cancer training with a Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction fellowship at UCLA with Dr. Ronald Moy.

Dr. Wrone is on the Editorial Board of Dermatology Surgery. He has published dozens of peer reviewed articles related to skin surgery. He is the immediate past-President of the New Jersey Dermatology Society and remains active in state medical affairs. He is a member of both the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Medical School of Rutgers University, he teaches and lectures dermatology residents and medical students. Further, he lectures nationally on surgery subjects.

Our North Brunswick and Princeton offices are equipped with a Histopathology laboratory so that Dr. Wrone can perform Mohs Micrographic Surgery, which is the microscopic mapping and removal of skin cancer followed by elegant reconstruction. Dr. Wrone has performed tens of thousands of these procedures, and strives to return patients to as close to perfect as science allows. He also performs mole and cyst removal, scar revisions, wrinkle treatments, Botox and Restylane Injections, Sclerotherapy for leg spider veins, eyelid surgery for tired eyes and other skin surgeries.

Dr. Wrone lives in Princeton with his wife, a Princeton University Professor, and his two children. Outside of a busy family life, his hobbies include reading, gardening, and bicycling.
